This modern rocking chair designed by a design student from Israel’s Shenkar College, Igor Gitelstain. The design is a prototype dedicated to the annual design exhibition held every year. This rocking chair is named Otarky Chair, the concept is like a rocking chair in general, the design looks modern, stainless finishing touches to the frame buffer, and a metallic white material on the seat and on the rear is a wood surface. But what makes this chair has another value is, the implementation of energy issues on the design. Where, on any swaying motion, the chair will generate electricity that can be used to charge the gadget or other home device. Overall this is beautiful, this is modern concept and energy issues add more value to Otarky Chair.

This innovative sofa designed by designers from Korea, Seungji Munhas. The innovation is to combine the pleasure of a pet into the design of a sofa. This sofa comes with bulit-in tunnel made of large pipes. As part of the sofa, the tunnel serves as a rest for the hand. Certainly before designing this design, the designer has done in-depth analysis about the habits of cats and cat owners. This sofa is called Cat Tunnel Sofa.

This wall mounted magazine rack was designed by Ingrid Svensson and Olle Wingard of Minus Tio. The rack is called the City Sunday, names and designs inspired by the buildings and urban structures. The material used is steel wire with an assortment of colors ranging from red, green, yellow, white or blue. Each color can be used separately, or if you prefer a colorful style, you can combine them. This minimalist rack can be a major decorative element to your wall while keeping your magazines neatly arranged.

Designed by Eric Pfeiffer of Pfeiffer Lab in collaboration with Loll Designs, the Racer is outdoor furniture collection that are designed with the 100% recycled HPDE material. It was build from approximately 312 PET bottles.
The collection consists of a lounge chair, a rocker chair and a side table. In accordance with a name given, the design is inspired by the sporty racing stripes. Overall, this is beautiful to use to hang out and relax in the park.

At a glance, I see this storage system such as a traditional Japanese bath. Circular design with the main materials of bamboo, natural concept for the furniture that I really liked. This is a storage system is the work of the designer Tomas Alonso. Different from the storage system in general, drawer or cupboard, where you have to push or pull to open it, for this storage you have to slide the layers to open. If in Japan, the concept of such tubes is for a traditional bathtub, but the concept for this storage system is modern style, so you do not need to worry this design is outdated. This storage system is called Mushiki Storage.

Once again, we find furniture designs inspired by the shape of the tree. This time, instead of one or part of a tree used as inspiration, but the overall tree. Stems, twigs and leaves. This is the lamps design from Estudi Ribaudí. The collection is consists of a chandelier, a base lamp and table lamp with available colors are black and white.

“‘Tree’ lamp concept arises from the interaction of humans with their natural surroundings to provide balance and light. Its branches grow towards the interior of the cup, where the light rests and gives life to creation.”
